Hi š
How are you?
It's another blog regarding nutrition. I'm so excited to share this with you.
First, we will meet the famous "kcalories"
ENERGY MEASURED IN kCalories
*Energy is expressed in 1000 calorie meter metric units known as kilocalories (shortened to kcalories, but commonly called calories). Calories tiny units of energy so small that a single apple can provide tens of thousands of them. The energy released from carbohydrate, fat and protein.*
ENERGY FROM FOODS
*The amount of energy a food provides depends on how much carbohydrate, fat, and protein it contains.
When completely broken down in the body, a gram of Carbohydrate yields about 4 calories of energy, a gram of protein also yield 4 kcalories and a gram of fat yield 9 kcal.
One other substance contributes energy - alcohol. Alcohol, however, is not considered nutrients. It does not sustain life. It interferes with the growth, maintenance, and repair of the body.*
ENERGY IN THE BODY
*The body uses the energy-yielding nutrients to fuels all its activities.*
Cool science facts *" when the body uses carbohydrates, protein, fats for energy, the bonds between the nutrient's atoms break. As the bond break, they release energy."
If the body does not use these nutrients to fuels its current activities, it converts them into a storage compound (such as body fat) to be used between meals and overnight when fresh energy runs low.*

When we understand more about the nature of our food. Slowly we create a healthy view of them related to our body. A peaceful and full acceptance relationship with our foods is a small step toward better action of eating healthy.- ricadrc
