What is energy producing nutrients?

Hi 😊
How are you?
It's another blog regarding nutrition. I'm so excited to share this with you.

Your body is like a machine, it needs to have fuel to function. So where do you get your energy? That would be carbohydrates, protein and fats. So let's meet them 😊

First, we will meet the famous "kcalories"

ENERGY MEASURED IN kCalories
*Energy is expressed in 1000 calorie meter metric units known as kilocalories (shortened to kcalories, but commonly called calories).  Calories tiny units of energy so small that a single apple can provide tens of thousands of them. The energy released from carbohydrate, fat and protein.*

ENERGY FROM FOODS

*The amount of energy a food provides depends on how much carbohydrate, fat, and protein it contains.
When completely broken down in the body, a gram of Carbohydrate yields about 4 calories of energy, a gram of protein also yield 4 kcalories and a gram of fat yield 9 kcal.
One other substance contributes energy - alcohol. Alcohol, however, is not considered nutrients. It does not sustain life. It interferes with the growth, maintenance, and repair of the body.*

ENERGY IN THE BODY
*The body uses the energy-yielding nutrients to fuels all its activities.*
Cool science facts *" when the body uses carbohydrates, protein, fats for energy, the bonds between the nutrient's atoms break. As the bond break, they release energy."
If the body does not use these nutrients to fuels its current activities, it converts them into a storage compound (such as body fat) to be used between meals and overnight when fresh energy runs low.*
*(Understanding Normal and Clinical Nutrition by Rolfes, Pinna, Whitney 9th edition)*

When we understand more about the nature of our food. Slowly we create a healthy view of them related to our body. A peaceful and full acceptance relationship with our foods is a small step toward better action of eating healthy.- ricadrc

Nutrition and foods to consume while breastfeeding your child

Hi, You have a beautiful baby there. That little human you have is the best blessing you have right now. I know that you really love your baby and you want to give him the best. You want to provide and give a better life than you have ever experienced in the coming days in this world.  One of the greatest investments that you can make right now that will benefit your baby is to start the right nutrition early to see your baby healthy, that is, away from harmful disease. Since your baby will solely depend on your milk for breastmilk for the first 6 months, your nutrition will greatly influence the nutrition of your baby. Your body produces milk and the composition depends on your diet. For example, the fat ( fatty acids) content of your milk depends on your current diet as well as the milk concentrations of selenium, iodine, and some of the water-soluble B vitamins. Your baby is growing fast, and it needs enough nutrients to support it. The breast milk that comes from you is very im...

8 Practical Ways to Love Yourself

Part of self-improvement is learning to love yourself properly. I've shared in my previous blog regarding my journey of self-improvement. Those experiences led me to this area of my life that I want to improve. I've researched, read books, articles, journals, and watched videos related to this area of interest that I want to improve in. That simple step is a life changer. It helps me in my progress. I just want to share my humble learning that might help you. All the information that I gathered in that article, books, and audiobooks was really helpful, but the core heart of self-love I found in the Bible, 1 Corinthians 13:4–8. Love is kind and patient; it does not envy or boast, and it is not arrogant or rude.It does not insist on its way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices in the truth. Love bears everything, believes everything, hopes everything, and endures everything.Love never ends. As I read this verse over and over again, it...
