Hi
To all the mommies here: you are doing an amazing job of giving your baby the most healthy milk, and that is your breastmilk. I'm so happy that you are doing your best in these early days of your baby lives. That will give them healthy development.
After you give birth to your beautiful baby, their main source of energy and nutrients is from your breastmilk for the first 6 months before you slowly introduce soft foods.
Breastfeeding Has Many Advantages for Your Baby
- Your baby will improve brain development and function.
-Your baby will have a lower risk of developing severe infectious diseases, including the following:
- Bacterial meningitis
- Bacteremia
- Diarrhea
- Respiratory tract infection
- Necrotizing enterocolitis
- Otitis media
- Urinary tract infection
- Late-onset sepsis in preterm infants
- Your baby has protection against food allergies.
- Your baby will have the hormones for proper physical growth and development.
BENEFIT for BREASTFEEDING mothers
- You may have a lower risk of developing breast and ovarian cancer, and it reduces the risk of developing diabetes (type 2).
- It will conserve your iron store, contract your uterus, and delay your regular ovulation, which will help in prolonging the interval of pregnancy (thus this may not be the only method to be used for birth control or contraceptive).
Another benefit of breastfeeding your baby
- It is budget-friendly enough that you don't need to spend extra money on your baby's milk.
- Environmentally friendly, thus it does not need to have a package and waste disposal of the product package.
- A healthy baby means no additional medical expenses for other potential childhood illnesses.
