The Power of Breastfeeding for You and Your Child

Hi

To all the mommies here: you are doing an amazing job of giving your baby the most healthy milk, and that is your breastmilk. I'm so happy that you are doing your best in these early days of your baby lives. That will give them healthy development.

After you give birth to your beautiful baby, their main source of energy and nutrients is from your breastmilk for the first 6 months before you slowly introduce soft foods.

Breastfeeding Has Many Advantages for Your Baby

- Your baby will improve brain development and function.

-Your baby will have a lower risk of developing severe infectious diseases, including the following:

  • Bacterial meningitis
  • Bacteremia
  • Diarrhea
  • Respiratory tract infection
  • Necrotizing enterocolitis
  • Otitis media
  • Urinary tract infection
  • Late-onset sepsis in preterm infants

- Your baby has protection against food allergies.

- Your baby will have the hormones for proper physical growth and development.

BENEFIT for BREASTFEEDING mothers

- You may have a lower risk of developing breast and ovarian cancer, and it reduces the risk of developing diabetes (type 2).

- It will conserve your iron store, contract your uterus, and delay your regular ovulation, which will help in prolonging the interval of pregnancy (thus this may not be the only method to be used for birth control or contraceptive).

Another benefit of breastfeeding your baby

- It is budget-friendly enough that you don't need to spend extra money on your baby's milk.

- Environmentally friendly, thus it does not need to have a package and waste disposal of the product package.

- A healthy baby means no additional medical expenses for other potential childhood illnesses.

KNOWING WHAT WE CHOOSE EVERYDAY (Self or God)

I read the devotional regarding Choosing each day :( Self or God) As a reflected on this plan it takes me back to how I spent my time this morning. As I open my eyes and saw a little light coming from our small window. Stretching my body, I felt alive. Reaching out to my bedsheet to fix my bed. I step out and walk to the kitchen and drink 1 glass of water, get my unwashed clothes and put it in the washing machine. Going inside the living area and went to the room and lock it and started my morning prayer. The intention is there to have a conversation, build,  grow my relation to God but I know that I felt distracted while praying. I thank God for the gift of life, asking forgiveness and asking for guidance, protection, clarification. It is good to observe myself that most of my morning I spend it with God, to make him my top priority to build relationships in him, and yes I have some days that I forget to do my morning prayers when I'm so overwhelmed by the things that ...

How to Build Healthy Relationship within yourself?

Hi gorgeous, Do you have a special relationship right now? I hope your immediate response is to yourself. In all of your relationships, what is most important is what you have within yourself. Acceptance of your strengths and weaknesses is your core power to be able to go on in life with full confidence and courage. You may recognize it or not, but how you see yourself reflects on your relationship with people that may be your family, friends, partner, or community. It is a life journey that you need to face every single day of your life. The challenge is how you handle it every single time it comes to you. This may be easy for some of you who have a good environment and people around you, but for those who do not, may you have the courage to be aware when it comes and face it and handle it with a pro. I have experiences that shape my thinking of who I am in the way that I was raised as a child, which gives me a hard time seeing myself in a good way. My environment and the people aroun...

Nutrition and foods to consume while breastfeeding your child

Hi, You have a beautiful baby there. That little human you have is the best blessing you have right now. I know that you really love your baby and you want to give him the best. You want to provide and give a better life than you have ever experienced in the coming days in this world.  One of the greatest investments that you can make right now that will benefit your baby is to start the right nutrition early to see your baby healthy, that is, away from harmful disease. Since your baby will solely depend on your milk for breastmilk for the first 6 months, your nutrition will greatly influence the nutrition of your baby. Your body produces milk and the composition depends on your diet. For example, the fat ( fatty acids) content of your milk depends on your current diet as well as the milk concentrations of selenium, iodine, and some of the water-soluble B vitamins. Your baby is growing fast, and it needs enough nutrients to support it. The breast milk that comes from you is very im...
